Okay, I know it's kind of silly that I don't know how to do this, but I need to transfer my net account to a different computer. The PC fan on the one I'm currently using is pretty much dead, and things that used to only take a couple seconds now take a couple minutes! Most of the time, I have to reload, and then reload again before I can even see a web page. Even my files and documents take forever now! I'm fairly certain that the computer I'm currently using for internet access is close to crashing!
I have another computer, but I can't seem to transfer my internet account on to that one. I've tried the Connection Wizard, and I've tried to use the "add modum" thing, but nothing works! I essentially know nothing about computers, so any help anybody can give me would be most appreciated! |

If you're trying to just transfer your user settings over then you need to try the File and Settings Transfer Wizard...I'm not sure where it is because I've never had to use it... _________________ Add me to Google Talk, my addy is sgtsprinkle[at]gmail.com |

Can you pull the HD and use someone else's computer (preferably someone with a DVD burner) to load Windows, and backup/burn all your important stuff? That might work easier than trying to just log in on another comp. (I don't know too much about .net stuff but I figure it's worth a try...) _________________ There is no worse tyranny than to force a man to pay for what he does not want merely because you think it would be good for him. – Robert Heinlein |
